Giving Day raises record $1.25M for nonprofits

On Fairfield County's Giving Day they were able to reach $1.25 million dollars for nonprofit organizations. In a time span of 24 hours their community was able to have thousands of donors helping the nonprofit organizations. They were also able to show how a community can work together to solve situations or bond together for support.


All In all, 15,311 gifts were given to non-profits. The top nonprofit organization was curtain call. They received a total of $62,617 from donors. Curtain call is a theatre company that produced performance such The Kweskin Theatre and The Dressing Room Theatre. Entertaining a total of 30,000 patrons.

During the giving day donors making donations greater than $10 could designate the nonprofit they'd like to support. Fairfield raised 25% more than they did the previous year.
